Free Consultation
Your free consultation is a 1-hour, confidential meeting, together or individually, where we’ll talk about your unique situation, walk through the mediation process, and explore whether it’s the right fit for you. You’ll learn what to expect in each phase, how decisions are made, and what support I provide along the way. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions, get clarity, and experience the calm, respectful environment I create for every client. There’s no pressure—just helpful information to guide your next steps. Upon completion I will follow up with your custom quote.
Phase 1: Pre-Mediation
The pre-mediation phase is a vital first step that sets the tone for a more effective and less stressful divorce process. I begin by meeting with each of you individually and confidentially to understand your situation, answer questions, and ensure mediation is the right fit. We’ll review what to expect, identify what matters most to each of you, and begin organizing key documents like income, expenses, and assets. You’ll receive clear guidance, practical tools, and a calm, respectful space to begin important conversations. This early preparation not only builds trust, but also creates a strong foundation for informed decisions and meaningful agreements in the sessions that follow.
Phase 2: Mediation
Each 2-hour mediation session is designed to focus on resolving one key issue in your divorce—whether it’s parenting arrangements, division of property, spousal support, or another area that matters most to you. This focused structure allows us to work efficiently and with care, giving you the time and space to be heard, consider your options, and make decisions that feel fair and sustainable. I guide the conversation in a way that keeps it respectful and productive, helping both of you move from uncertainty to clarity. You’ll leave each session with a summary of what was discussed and agreed upon, so progress is tangible and well-documented. By addressing one issue at a time, the process stays manageable and meaningful—providing the clarity and momentum you need to keep moving forward with confidence.
Phase 3: Post-Mediation
Once your mediation session is complete and you’ve reached agreements, we move into the post-mediation phase—where everything you’ve worked through gets formally documented and prepared for next steps. I will draft a clear and comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that outlines all your agreements in plain, organized language. This document can be reviewed by your individual attorneys or used directly in court filings, depending on your preference. I’ll also provide you with guidance on how to take the next legal and logistical steps to finalize your divorce. This phase ensures that your hard work translates into actionable outcomes—giving you both closure and the clarity.
